Mar 2020: Canadian Natural Resources announced that engineering work is targeted for completion in Q3 on the previously announced expansion & reliability projects. The paraffinic froth treatment expansion would add 40,000 to 50,000 bbls/d of diluted bitumen. Stage 1 & 2 reliability opportunites could add 35,000 to 45,000 bbls/d of SCO. Additional maintenance is planned for the fall. |

Mar 2020: CNRL has announced a capcity increase at the AOSP mine sites and at Scotford to bring total production to 320,000 bbls/d by the end of the third quarter 2020. CNRL has also reported that Shell will be perfroming a 55 day turnaround starting in April. |

Jan 2019: Value Creation & The Government of Alberta have announced a $2 billion dollar investment in an upgrading facility, to convert 77,500 bbls/d of diluted bitumen to a medium synthetic crude oil. The Alberta Government has provided a $440 million loan gaurantee toward the project. |
